About Me

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley (southern CA) and moved to Humboldt County in 1978 to attend HSU, where I received a B.A. in Sociology in 1981. In 1993, while working in the field of HIV/AIDS,
I began a three-year Master’s in Social Work program through
California State University at Sacramento.

After receiving my MSW degree in 1996, I was employed as a psychotherapist working with individuals impacted by sexual abuse. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004 and opened Peaceful Sea Counseling, a general private practice located on the beautiful North Coast of California.
