Following is a partial list of consultation and
training topics available to professionals:

Caregiving for Seniors and
Persons Living with Disabilities

Trainings for caregivers generally include “the basics,” such as how to transfer a person from bed to chair and when to contact medically-trained personnel. These skills are obviously tremendously important to the welfare of the client.

What is more difficult to communicate, however, is the emotional strain of caregiving:

How do you avoid “taking it personally” when a client calls you a profane name?

Can you “just ignore it” when he or she speaks to you in a sexually-inappropriate manner?

Are you able to stay calm when the client unjustly accuses you of stealing from her?

These issues can cause great stress for caregivers and account for many paid caregivers leaving their positions abruptly. Expecting caregivers to “figure it out for themselves,” is inviting disaster. Proper training and support can save you time, money and legal problems in the long run.

Sexual Issues

* Management of sexual offenders (adult and juvenile)
* Sexual Education for DD clients
* Management of sexually compulsive behavior
* Protecting children from sexual exploitation

Workplace Dynamics

Do you spend thousands of dollars on staff training only to find that it is not implemented back in the office?

Is the voluntary termination rate in your company higher than your industry average?

Is office gossip rampant in your company? Does it lead to arguments and hard feelings?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” it might be an indication of morale problem that can be remedied.

Did you know that the majority of employees who quit their jobs cite "poor management" or "personality clash" as the reason for their leaving? They express frustration that they don't want to leave but feel they have no other choice.
